According to Lifestyle Newsletter, Tarot cards are going mainstream! Tarot readings are becoming more and more popular among the so called “normal” people, and the sales of Tarot decks are at a higher level than the last 50 years!
I think this is really great news. It shows how humanity has evolved, even in the last 10 years! When I grew up, Gypsies were the only people who offered Tarot readings. Tarot decks were not readily available anywhere, and as fun as it was to go and get a Gypsy reading, nobody really took it seriously. It was purely for entertainment purposes, and nobody really believed anything that came from the Gypsies.
Nobody, except me, lol… I remember growing up in Norway and feeling unbelievably isolated. I was so interested in the occult that I tried to make potions out of my mom’s spices. Mixed with nail polish and glue, those potions turned pretty scary fast. I even had a little witchy book with spells… But I really didn’t have anyone to learn from…
Inspired by Gypsies
Anyway, I was soooo excited every year when the Gypsies showed up with their big RV’s. They parked in the middle of downtown Bergen and offered their cool and mysterious readings with tarot cards, hand readings, crystal balls and whatever else you would like.
One time I went there, the lady looked at my hand and told me I was going to travel to a land far far away, and settle there. I was going to get married and have two children, a boy first, and then a girl! And, guess, what? That is exactly what happened…
I can’t even remember when I bought my first Tarot deck, but I know it was a very long time ago. After I went through my second divorce and ended up as a single mom, I did Tarot readings for the local tourists just to be able to make ends meet.
My daughter is an extremely rational, realistic type. She is almost allergic to any kind of spiritual woo-woo, but she grew up with Tarot cards as a normal thing to do when something needed to be looked into. Even now, she will ask for a reading when she needs to know what is really going on in her life, and she doesn’t even think there is anything weird about it.
She has seen so many accurate readings, that she has learned to respect the cards and listen to the readings. And, perhaps, others are coming to the same conclusion.
Lifting the Veil
Life is so complex! We don’t always understand what is going on. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just take a little peak under the surface so we could understand the situations better? Wouldn’t it be nice if we could cope better? Make decisions with more confidence? Understand when to be patient, and when to take action?
I think the time has come where even mainstream skeptics are getting tempted to lift the veil of mystery just to get a glimpse of something that makes a little bit of sense. And I am so excited about this development!
How cool is it that mainstream people are starting to open their minds to the possibility that there is more between heaven and earth than what we can see right here? Maybe there is a spiritual realm? Maybe there are spirit guides and angels looking out for us? Maybe we do have a soul purpose!!!
Yes! This kind of mind opening shift in perception makes me absolutely thrilled!!! It is about time! It is sooo about time! Tarot readings can actually open people’s horizons and help bring in the new age, which in my book is a less intellectual and more intuitive way to see reality.
