To an outsider, Tarot may look like a random shuffling of cards that has nothing to do with reality as we know it. But that doesn’t explain why some Tarot readers are absolutely spot on in their readings. They may have never met the person before, and yet, they can accurately describe different aspects of a situation that are so right on that it gives the client goose bumps. So, what is the secret to accurate readings, rather than just random cards on the table?
The secret is to bond with the deck before you do any readings. Yes, you heard me right. Bonding is absolutely essential when it comes to accuracy in your readings. There are many ways you need to bond with your deck. It is a bit of a process that has to be done with every deck you plan to use for your readings.
State your intentions
The first thing you do is to state to the Universe that you are intending to use the new deck as a tool for your readings. Then you ask for the deck to be connected to your mind, as well as your higher self so the channels of communication are open. Next, start looking at the cards, one by one, slowly. Look at each card, see what is going on in the card, and pay attention to what feeling you get from looking at the card. Tell your higher self what each card means to you. That way, your higher self knows what cards to put on the table for specific messages to be communicated.
When you are done, wrap your cards up and put them under your pillow so you can sleep on them for a few nights. You can even put the deck in your window on a full moon night, just to clear the energy. Crystals also work well to clear energy.
Once you have done all of this, you can start using the deck for readings. But, you still have to bond with your deck before each reading. I usually start with a prayer, something like: “Please allow me to be a crystal clear channel for your guidance and wisdom for the highest good.” The deck is now ready to use.
Shuffle the cards
But, there is one more thing that is really important for accuracy. You can shuffle the cards any way you want, but you have to tell the Universe what kind of reading you want and who it is for, and then you have to “listen” while you shuffle the cards. When it is time to stop shuffling, you’ll feel it, hear it or know it, and it is super important to stop when you are “told to.” Then, cut the deck in 3 piles and put them back together. You are now ready to lay the cards.
Lay the cards
Once the cards have been laid, have faith that you were plugged in enough that the right cards were laid. Don’t second guess yourself. And, you’ll be surprised how accurate the cards can be! Each reading can totally blow someone’s mind. This is because you did your background work, bonded with the deck and connected it to your higher self. Without the bonding, you are just laying random cards. So, do what needs to be done to connect with the deck, and your readings will be amazing…
Some decks are easier to connect with than others, so you’ll probably buy some decks that you absolutely love, and others that you can’t really connect with at all. That is a very normal thing to do. Just pass on the decks that don’t work for you, and somebody will be happy…
